NVA / Soviet Шлем Маска 41М (ШМ-41М)
The North Vietnamese Army / Soviet Шлем Маска 41М (ШМ-41М) was imported from the Soviet Union during the Vietnam War. Instead of using the heavy soviet filters and hoses, the NVA supplied their own lightweight filters. This example was made in Yaroslavl in 1967, and was captured by my father Maj Jack K. Tarr in 1971 near the DMZ in Quang Tri Province during his third and final tour of duty in Vietnam.
